Report on the 12th edition of Playtime Paris 

The 12th edition of Playtime Paris gathering 370 French and international brands took place on July 7 - 9, 2012 at the Parc Floral de Paris. 

Although the summer session of the Paris fair drew fewer visitors than the winter edition, it ended on a positive note given that attendance was higher than the July 2011 fair. Moreover, the percentage of international visitors rose (+2%) as did the number of international exhibitors, which now represent 50% of the show’s offer. Among these brands, there was a reinforced presence from Great Britain and Scandinavia (Sweden, Denmark).

This season, Playtime Paris welcomed 50 new exhibitors with -as every summer- a strong presence of children’s clothing brands. The maternity sector reinforced its position of leader by proposing the world’s most complete offer.

Inspite of a tough economic context and a difficult situation for many brands, Playtime continues to attract an increasingly international and growing public.

In January 2013, driven by a unique and innovative project - PlayWithDesign - the Home/Design sector will step into the spotlight and forge its reputation as a «can’t miss» rendez-vous in Europe, perfectly coherent with and centered around an offer that is entirely dedicated to the children’s universe. Baby gear / childcare, which is often highly complementary to the children’s decor sector, will also grow, doubling the number of exhibitors.

For its 5th edition, which will take place between August 4 - 6, 2012, Playtime New York will present nearly 100 American and international brands. With its mix of fashion and trends, the concept is the only one of its kind on the American continent.

Playtime Tokyo is moving in order to better accommodate a growing number of exhibitors and buyers seeking a creative selection of over 150 Japanese and international brands. It will take place from August 28 - 30, 2012.
